It’s all about grace.

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. – Romans 5:2

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, – Ephesians 2:8

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21

and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David, as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old, that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us; – Luke 1:69-71

And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” – Acts 2:40

Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. – Romans 5:9

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”- 1 Peter 5:5

 

Oh how great a salvation we have through the the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is from what? Well firstly from our sins. Our sin separated us from God. We are dead in our sins, totally selfish, considering that we know what is best for ourselves, living in rebellion and pride. Jesus paid for our sins and became sin for us on the cross.

Secondly salvation is from our enemies. In this life we have trials and tribulations. There is an enemy, Satan, who wants to steal as many souls as he can, deceiving, lying, murdering with an organised host of principalities and powers that set themselves against Christians and deceive non-believers. Jesus defeated Satan on the cross.

Thirdly we are saved from this perverse generation, the world system that holds people in a state of mind that is anti God in so many ways, through religion, humanism, silence, politics, laws and pleasure. Jesus will reign in righteousness when he returns and the world system will become a God-centred Kingdom.

Finally we are saved from the wrath of God. We all deserve to pay for our sins. We all deserve judgment by a righteous God. But God in His mercy sent His Son to die in our place to take the judgment we deserve. The wrath of God will be poured out on this world. Judgment is coming but those who believe in the Lord Jesus will be saved. Those who believe the word of God is true. Those who have humbled themselves before Almighty God and said you are right and I am wrong. Your word is true and I have been believing lies. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Now we need to learn to walk humbly before our God and stand in His grace.
