What can be known about God is plain.
Romans 1:19-21
19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. – Romans 1:19-21
God has shown Himself to all of us. Some people claim that God is dead or God hides Himself but creation, the universe and all the wonderful things we experience are proof of a loving, creative God. Physicists can not explain how the atom holds together and have come up with a theory called “atomic glue”. The bible says:
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, – Hebrews 1:3
“He upholds the universe by the word of His power”. It is God, through Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit that holds the universe together. But human kind does not want to recognise Almighty God because if you acknowledge there is an Almighty God you have to acknowledge your position before Him, you are a created being who owes your existence to a loving God and need to repent of your sins. You are not self made and you are not a god, you need mercy and forgiveness. So you would have to honour the creator of the universe and realise that you are nothing before Him nothing without Him.
“It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens. – Jeremiah 51:15
Jeremiah recognised the power of God in creation and went on to say:
16 When he utters his voice there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.
17 Every man is stupid and without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, for his images are false, and there is no breath in them. – Jeremiah 51:16-17
If we believe in false gods, false beliefs then our foolish hearts are darkened and we live in darkness. Jesus said:
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light,
23 but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! – Matthew 6:22-23
Jesus came:
to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” – Luke 1:79
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. – 1 John 1:7
